Windows 7 registry restore.

Post by admin »

Error c0190003

Since you do not have any restore points, your options are now limited to restoring a backup copy of the registry or re-installing Windows. Here is how you can restore the registry.1. Boot the machine into Repair mode.
1. Select the Command Prompt.
2. Identify the correct drive letter for your Windows installation. It could be drive E: or F:. You do it by typing the commands
dir C:\Win*
3. Type these commands:
cd c:\windows\System32\config
xcopy *.* c:\windows\System32\config\RegBack\
4. Reboot normally.

Remove offending microsoft update, driver, or last installed app before it broke.
